Anuj works as part of the Compensation and Benefits team at OYO and works on the firm’s Global ESOP plan, Short and Long Term Incentives, Hiring Process Improvements, Benchmarking and other strategic projects from time to time. he has been with the firm seeing its massive growth in 2019 which led to OYO becoming 3rd largest hotel by room count globally and continued with the firm as pandemic hit the hospitality business across the world in 2020.
Being in a start-up, every day is new and filled with challenges where he plays a key role in Compensation and Benefits which undoubtedly is the biggest motivator for employees. In the past he had worked with OLA Cabs where he was an HR Business partner for the firm’s Customer Service and business excellence arm. Anuj Mishra started his career with ICICI Bank where he was Employee Relations Manager for Karnataka.
He has been recognized in the industry by Jombay-CNBC in 2019 as a 40 under 40 HR leader and by BusinessWorld People 40 under 40 in 2020. This year he was recognized as HR Rising Star of the year by the HR Association of India. Being a lifelong learner he has done more than 20 certified learning courses along with an MBA from KJ Somaiya, Mumbai and Civil Engineering from UPTU.
Anuj is great at taking decisions based on striking the right balance between data insights and subjective elements of people management. His ability to think laterally along with the expertise on employment laws makes him adept at managing employee relations and executing organization’s people agenda with perfection.
