We are searching for a talented Azure Engineer to become an integral part of our IT team. As an Azure Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of our Azure cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will drive innovation, efficiency, and reliability as we leverage Microsoft Azure to meet our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into well-architected Azure solutions.
- Build and configure Azure resources, encompassing virtual machines, storage, networking components, and identity services.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions utilizing tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Bicep to ensure consistent and scalable deployments.
- Monitor and maintain the performance, availability, and security of Azure environments, swiftly addressing any operational issues.
- Automate deployment processes and optimize resource utilization, working hand-in-hand with DevOps teams to implement efficient CI/CD pipelines.
- Stay current with Azure advancements, industry trends, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement within our cloud ecosystem.
- Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure infrastructure and application challenges.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execute strategies to ensure Azure-based systems’ resilience.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to implement and enforce security best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Azure certifications are a strong plus.
- Proven track record as an Azure Engineer or in a similar role, with comprehensive knowledge of Azure services, networking, and security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and configuration tasks.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, e.g., ARM templates, Terraform, or Azure Bicep.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration concepts, ideally involving Docker and Kubernetes within Azure.
- Sound grasp of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems like Git.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing intricate Azure-related issues.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate within cross-functional teams effectively.
- Eagerness to explore new technologies, absorb knowledge rapidly, and remain at the forefront of industry trends.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and a history of implementing security measures in Azure environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps for comprehensive application lifecycle management.
- Experience in hybrid cloud environments, connecting on-premises infrastructure with Azure resources.
- Familiarity with serverless computing models and event-driven architectures within Azure.
- Previous involvement in successful on-premises to Azure workload migrations.
