We are seeking a skilled and diligent Information Security Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization’s sensitive data and digital assets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, risk assessment methodologies, and incident response procedures. As an Information Security Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Responsibilities for Information Security Analyst:

  • Conduct regular assessments of the organization’s IT infrastructure, networks, and applications to identify potential vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and security gaps.
  • Analyze security alerts, events, and incidents, and respond promptly to mitigate potential threats or breaches.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design, implement, and monitor security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, data encryption, and access controls.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continuously enhance the organization’s security posture.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation, ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.
  • Perform regular security audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments to proactively identify and address potential security risks.
  • Participate in incident response activities, investigating and containing security incidents while providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor employee security awareness and conduct training sessions to educate staff about security best practices and policies.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, partners, and clients to ensure secure data exchange and compliance with security requirements.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization’s ability to recover from security incidents.
  • Generate reports on security metrics, incidents, and trends to communicate the effectiveness of security measures to stakeholders and senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Information Security Analyst or similar role, demonstrating a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and practices.
  • Proficiency in security tools and software, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, antivirus programs, and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical environments and identify potential security risks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and lead security-related projects.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
