We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Google Cloud Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Google Cloud Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Google Cloud solutions for our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions utilizing Google Cloud services. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in enabling our clients to leverage the power of cloud computing to drive innovation, scalability, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities for Google Cloud Specialist:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and technical requirements, and provide tailored Google Cloud solutions that address their challenges.
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support various workloads, applications, and services.
- Conduct assessments of existing infrastructure and applications to identify opportunities for migration, optimization, and modernization using GCP services.
- Develop and execute migration strategies to move on-premises workloads to GCP, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum performance.
- Configure and manage GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and others based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to set up continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines on GCP.
- Ensure security best practices are followed, including identity and access management, data encryption, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Monitor the performance and health of GCP resources, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and support to clients and internal teams for GCP-related inquiries.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Google Cloud services, industry trends, and best practices to continuously enhance your expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Google Cloud certification(s) such as Google Professional Cloud Architect, Google Professional Data Engineer, or equivalent, highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including microservices, containers, serverless computing, and cloud-native development.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Solid knowledge of networking concepts, security best practices, and data management in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in a client-facing or consulting role is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing technology landscape.
