Employability Boost-Up

Employability

In the competitive landscape of employability, the mantra ‘First learn to work, then work to earn’ holds true. In today’s job market, many seek fulfilling work beyond basic sustenance, evident in the growing number of professionals actively pursuing career changes.

“Employability is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.” – Richard Branson

Let us go through some of the points which a person should take in consideration before starting a job.

  • Smart work is Mandatory – As a fresher in the field, the first thing that you need to learn is smart work which is significant for the future growth. Many freshers when entering the job tends to take things for granted, but the sooner or later one should learn the benefits of the hard work, they can deliver the results earlier and better.

  • Work beyond your comfort zone – As a fresher, you should not expect to live in a fantasy world, professional life is the real competitive world, where the competition is high and to maintain a repo and certain position people have to work beyond their comfort zone to maintain it. Work is always a habit, from paying attention to every detail, punctuality, and all other aspects, it is important to develop the good habit of hard work in your initial days because years later you will learn to work without excuses.

  • Learn as much you can – In your first job learn how much ever you can. It is an opportunity where you get to explore wide range of job roles in an organization and can see if you find something interesting for yourself to get in. As a fresher, everyone will be ready to help you and guide you in the entire manner and this is the opportunity that comes the best, once you become a professional learning something new will be easy task for you.

  • Experience is important – Not everyone gets a high salary package in their first job. Rather than taking it as something not worth, it is better to think on the other side of the coin. Use your skills and talent in learning and gaining knowledge and experience. During initial phases of professional life, money needs to take the backseat and what counts significant is the experience and knowledge of the work you do. If you get an opportunity to work with the founder or CEO of the company then never let this golden chance leave from your hands and try learning things as much as you can.

  • Create a value – While at your first job, it is good to build your value and network, become reliable to your employer and colleagues and your work should be so good that no one can do it as good as you can complete that work. There are lots of people in the organization who look for opportunities to escape work or simply run papers around, but it is good that you step up and be sincere and loyal towards your work.
